MOVING WITHIN

FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER
19:00-21:00
SUNDERLAND STUDIO

Rachel Garnham

£15pp

A somatic practice that takes you on a journey inwards, moving from the outer world, into your body and beyond.

In this workshop we will use Feldenkrais techniques, breath work & vinyasa flow to reach a relaxed and meditative state that allows you to move within and connect with your own truth.

The Feldenkrais Method is an approach that seeks to effect change by working with your nervous system. Your brain directs the nervous system and is in charge of your movement patterns, so if you want to change your movements you must literally change your mind.

Developing Strength and Balance

SATURDAY 16TH NOVEMBER
14:00-15:30
SUNDERLAND STUDIO

Martyn Blacklock

£15pp (£25 if you book this and the Opening Your Heart With Breath, Asana and Meditation workshop together - email us for the discount)

This workshop will lead you through a strength and balance focused sequence where we learn to become more comfortable in our own skin and more confident in dealing with what life throws at us.

Yoga can enhance flexibility, balance, calm, optimism and resilience. Yoga practitioners learn what it means to be bendy in life, as well as on the mat. In the bend of a pose, we discover the stability and balance we need for our yoga practice. In the bend of emotion, we discover the stability and balance we need for life.

You’ll discover how to connect with the spiritual source of your power and inner strength. By centring yourself in the universe, you’ll come to understand your place and your role in something far bigger than yourself.
