Terms and conditions for Teacher Trainings
Updated 6th November 2026
General Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all teacher training programmes, specialist training courses and professional development programmes delivered by [Training Provider Name], unless specific additional terms are provided for an individual course.
By booking a place on any training programme, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
The specific course details, including training hours, dates, fees, payment arrangements and any additional requirements, will be provided on each separate booking page.
1. Booking & Payment
- A deposit or initial payment, as specified for the individual course, is required to secure your place.
- Payment deadlines and instalment arrangements will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Students are responsible for ensuring all payments are made by the agreed deadlines.
- By enrolling, you are committing to the full course fee, regardless of whether you subsequently decide to withdraw or are unable to complete the course, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
- Failure to make payments on time may result in your place being suspended or withdrawn.
- Any alternative payment arrangements must be agreed in writing with the training provider.
2. Cancellations, Withdrawals & Transfers
- If you decide to withdraw from a training programme, you must notify the training provider in writing.
- Payments already made may be retained in accordance with the cancellation terms and applicable consumer legislation. Any cancellation charges will be proportionate and take account of costs and losses incurred.
- If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your place to another suitable person, subject to approval by the training provider.
- Any replacement student must meet the relevant entry requirements and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
- Missed sessions or training weekends do not automatically entitle you to a refund or reduction in the course fee.
- If you are unable to continue due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact the lead trainer to discuss the available options.
Where bookings are made online or at a distance, applicable statutory cancellation rights, including any 14-day cooling-off period, will apply.
3. Changes to Venue
We reserve the right to change the training venue if the original premises become unavailable or a change is otherwise necessary.
- Any alternative venue will be located within a 15-mile radius of the original training location.
- The alternative venue will be suitable for delivering the training and its practical elements.
- Students will be notified of any venue changes as soon as reasonably possible.
- A venue change within this 15-mile radius will not, in itself, constitute grounds for cancellation or a refund, subject to applicable statutory rights.
The original training location will remain the reference point for calculating the 15-mile radius, regardless of any subsequent changes to the training provider's premises or business arrangements.
4. Changes to Dates, Timetable & Teaching Team
We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to the training schedule where necessary.
This may include changes to individual training dates, daily timetables, the order of subjects delivered or members of the teaching team.
If a teacher is unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we may arrange a suitably qualified and experienced replacement.
Where possible, any changes will be communicated in advance. We will endeavour to ensure that changes do not compromise the overall quality or learning outcomes of the training.
5. Attendance & Course Completion
Each training programme has its own attendance requirements and learning outcomes, which will be communicated before enrolment.
Students are expected to:
- Attend all scheduled training sessions and complete the required training hours, unless otherwise agreed before booking.
- Inform the lead trainer as soon as possible if they are unable to attend.
- Complete any required independent study, reading, homework, practical teaching and assignments.
- Make up any missed training hours as agreed with the lead trainer.
Recordings, where available, may support catch-up learning but do not automatically replace required attendance or practical training hours.
Additional catch-up sessions, where required, may incur an additional fee, agreed in advance.
6. Assessment & Certification
Where a training programme includes assessment or certification, students must meet the relevant attendance, participation, assessment and practical requirements communicated for that course.
The lead trainer reserves the right to request additional practice, assignments or assessment where further development is needed before certification can be awarded.
Attendance alone does not guarantee certification where assessment requirements apply.
Completion of a training programme does not guarantee employment, teaching opportunities or registration with an external yoga organisation. Any additional professional registration, insurance or membership requirements are the student's responsibility.
7. Conduct & Behaviour
We aim to create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
All students are expected to treat fellow students, teachers and guest facilitators with respect, consideration and professionalism.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation or consistently disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
The training provider reserves the right to suspend or remove a student from a programme in cases of serious misconduct or behaviour that compromises the safety or wellbeing of others. Any such decision will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
8. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility
Training programmes may involve physical practice, movement, teaching and periods of study.
Students are responsible for:
- Working within their own physical capabilities.
- Informing the lead trainer of any relevant injuries, medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect participation.
- Seeking appropriate medical advice where necessary.
- Communicating if they need to modify or opt out of any physical practice.
Students are expected to participate responsibly and with consideration for their own wellbeing and that of others.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any legal responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Course Content & Teaching Materials
The training provider reserves the right to make reasonable changes to course content, teaching schedules and learning materials where necessary, while maintaining the intended learning outcomes.
All manuals, handouts, presentations, recordings, written materials and resources provided as part of a training programme remain the intellectual property of the training provider or their respective creators.
Materials are provided for personal educational use only and must not be reproduced, distributed, published or sold without prior written permission.
10. Recordings & Photography
Recordings may occasionally be provided to support learning and help students catch up on missed content.
Recordings are provided at the discretion of the training provider and are not guaranteed for every session. They are for personal study only and must not be shared, copied or distributed.
Students must not independently record, photograph or film training sessions without prior permission.
Any photography or video used for promotional purposes will be subject to appropriate consent. Students must also respect the privacy of fellow trainees and obtain permission before sharing identifiable photographs or videos of others.
11. Cancellation or Postponement by the Training Provider
In the unlikely event that the training provider is unable to deliver a programme as planned, we will communicate with students as soon as reasonably possible.
This may include rescheduling sessions, making reasonable changes to the venue or teaching team, postponing the programme or cancelling it entirely.
If a programme is cancelled entirely by the provider, students will be entitled to an appropriate refund for the training that will no longer be delivered, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Where a programme is postponed or significantly changed, students will be informed of their options and any applicable statutory rights.
The training provider will not be responsible for additional personal expenses such as travel or accommodation, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Unforeseen circumstances may occasionally affect the delivery of a training programme. These may include extreme weather, natural disasters, serious illness, government restrictions, emergencies or other events beyond the reasonable control of the training provider.
Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and arrange suitable alternatives, which may include rescheduling sessions, changing venues or adjusting the delivery of certain elements of the programme.
Any changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.
Nothing in this section removes any statutory rights or remedies available to students.
13. Privacy & Personal Information
Personal information provided during the booking process and throughout a training programme will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Student information will only be used for legitimate purposes relating to the administration and delivery of the training, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
14. Agreement to Terms & Conditions
By booking a place and making payment towards any training programme, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to abide by them.
You acknowledge that undertaking a training programme requires commitment, personal responsibility and active participation, and that successful completion and certification, where applicable, are dependent on meeting the relevant course requirements.
