TEACHERS

CLAIRE LORMOR

Thank you so much for dropping by. My name is Claire and I started Wellness Space in 2018 with the aim of creating a platform to bring people together through movement and wellness, and to create events that give you that feel good feeling.

I have been practising yoga for over 10 years and have been a qualified Yoga Teacher since 2018. I love teaching dynamic, creative and sweaty classes; however, I also enjoy teaching calming, relaxing and soothing styles of yoga.

Originally a Scientist, with a degree in Physiology, my yoga classes have a strong emphasis on understanding your own body as well as enjoying your practice, understanding why you need your yoga (whatever it looks like) and having a bit of chill time. Through movement, breath work and meditation, my classes will give you the perfect level of yang and yin that we all need.

TAMMIE FOSTER

Hi Everyone I’m Tammie. My yoga journey began back in 2015 when I started yoga alongside my Dance and Performing Arts Degree and I fell in love with it from my first class. The community it created, the way it made me feel not only physically but mentally, the freedom I had to express myself as I was, it truly transformed my life.

This lead me to complete my 200hrs Ashtanga Vinyasa In May 2022, then my Rocket Yoga in January 2023.

My classes aim to create a safe space for yogis where they can experience the magic I did and find what yoga means to them. In my classes you can expect playful creative sequencing, options for yogis to explore and safely challenge themselves, mobility and strength work to balance the progression of flexibility, pranayama and meditation to compliment the style of practice or intention of class..

DAISY TURNBULL

Hello there, I’m Daisy. I’ve practiced Yoga since 2018 and qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2024. I turned to Yoga after experiencing feelings of stress and burnout in my corporate banking career. After acknowledging I’d tied too much of my identify and self-worth to my work, I decided to make a commitment to spend more time with myself and saw Yoga as a vehicle to doing so. What I didn’t anticipate was just how enriching this ancient practice would be. Yoga has taught me vital lessons in gratitude, humility and kindness so I can live a more rewarding life.

I’d say my teaching style is typically Yang - dynamic, upbeat and energetic but with the odd sprinkling of Yin to create that balance. Most importantly I enjoy delivering a holistic practice which weaves in Yoga philosophy, breathwork, meditation and movement.

FAY GOODMAN

Hi. I’m Fay. My yoga journey properly started in my late teens. Having done a few yoga classes here and there throughout school, I really discovered it’s healing benefits during my time at university. In my first summer holiday I went to South East Asia travelling and decided to join in on a 5-day yoga retreat and from then on was hooked. Having never been the sporty type, I first started my practice while trying to find a form of exercise that I found enjoyable. While experiencing a turbulent time in my life, I soon found the mental and psychological benefits of her yoga practice too. This led me to complete my first 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Bali in 2015. I returned to London where I lived and began teaching regularly over the next 2 years, after which I realised I wanted to advance my teaching skills so flew to Rishikesh, India where I completed a further 300hr Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Ashtanga.

Since then I have taught regularly all across London, Cambridge and Newcastle teaching various classes and workshops, and have taught in the UK and internationally at festivals, hosted retreats and I teach Philosophy, Meditation and Asana on Yoga Teacher Trainings. I have completed further training in Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy to name just a few. My passion lies in the body-mind connection and my work as a therapist is deeply rooted in somatic experiences.

My intention as a teacher is to offer you space to deeply connect with yourself so that your yoga practice doesn’t just stay on the mat but infuses into every aspect of your life. I now live and mostly teach up in the North-East of England where I live with my dog Lola. In my spare time, I love to travel and explore the world, hike and eat delicious food.

ISABEL DOBINSON

Hey, I’m Issy. A Primary School Teacher, Meditation & Breathwork and Family/Kids Yoga Teacher. I have a passion for sharing simple, accessible tools to help people feel more present in today's busy world.

I’ve practised meditation for years, but it was during a difficult period of stress and burnout that I truly experienced its science-backed benefits. Breathwork and meditation helped me find some much needed steadiness and balance. Now, I love sharing these practices in a way that’s welcoming, accessible and down-to-earth.

My meditation and breathwork classes blend gentle and inclusive practices to calm the nervous system, ground you in the present and remind you it’s okay to slow down. They’re beginner friendly and adaptable - no jargon or pressure - I'm all about creating an empowering, welcoming space for everyone.

I also offer bespoke 1:1 and small group sessions at Wellness Space - shaped around your needs and pace.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me walking along the coast, spending time with loved ones (especially my niece) and reading a good book with a cuppa.

I’m really excited to be part of the Wellness Space team and I can’t wait to meet you.

ELLISHA ILEY

.Hey! I’m Ellisha and I competed my 200hr YTT in 2024. I have been practicing yoga consistently since 2021, where my journey first started at no other than Wellness Space. Like most, yoga for me started as physical movement. But the more I practiced, the more my mentality shifted and the learnings from my mat began to integrate into my everyday life. Once I noticed this, I was well and truly hooked and have never looked back!

In my personal practice, I love dynamic and creative flows and I would say this is also reflected in my teaching style. Throughout my classes I aim to cultivate a sense of empowerment within you, as you move with choice and intention, providing a safe space for exploration and most importantly — play. I hope to see you on the mat soon!

mADDY EDWARDS

G'day (just kidding, we don't really say that). I'm Maddy, visiting Sunderland for the summer all the way from the Gold Coast, Australia! I completed my first yoga teacher training in Costa Rica in 2018. We lived off-grid in the middle of the jungle for a month, and it was truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life.

I spent the following year teaching full time on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, which meant my studio was anything from our gorgeous group classes space, to sunrise on the helipad of a neighboUring island (I know, a tough gig!). From there, I taught across a range of gyms and studios on the Gold Coast, helping my students build a practice that feels good for their individual bodies.

I'm here at Wellness Space from mid-July to the end of September, can't wait to meet everyone! I specialise in Hatha Vinyasa, with a real love for a nourishing Slow Flow. Expect clear cues, a warm presence, and classes that leave you feeling both grounded and energised

MOLLY BELL

Hi, I’m Molly. I live in North Shields, I am a Solicitor but I got hooked on yoga in March 2020 when the world was going into lockdown. I came to realise how amazing yoga made me feel both physically and mentally, and how the practice is so much more than physical postures - 5 years later I have now completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa in October 2025 and I can’t wait to start teaching.

In my classes I hold space for you to move with intention, challenge yourself, slow down and breathe. I believe we all need a bit of this to help regulate our nervous systems in the fast paced worlds we live in today!

When I’m not in the yoga studio, you will find me either walking my whippet, catching up with friends in a coffee shop or a wine bar, cooking, or curled up on the sofa with a good book.

I am so grateful to be part of the Wellness Space community and I am looking forward to seeing you on the mat!

Hannah fippard

Hi, my name is Hannah and I am a yoga teacher originally from Washington and now living in Houghton Le Spring.

I began practicing yoga at the age of 19 when chronic health issues led me to the mat. From that first beginners four week course, I was hooked!

I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training in 2019 and have since taught a wide range of yoga. From in studio workshops, beginners classes, corporate classes, kids yoga and pregnancy yoga.

I am so excited to be teaching at Wellness Space. I completed my prenatal yoga training at the studio this February and it has been a joy to get to teach so many pregnant ladies in the studio.

I pride myself on classes that are inclusive for all levels of yogi. Whether mine is your first or your thousandth class I can’t wait to welcome you. My classes are laidback, incorporating a range of options to challenge as well as relax you. I enjoy encouraging my students to focus on how they feel and see myself as the facilitator of your practice rather than always being in teacher mode. That being said I also often make time to break down poses in details so you’ll continue to learn and grow in your practice.

There’ll always be a dodgy joke or two and of course a guided meditation and lovely long savasana!
