Can I attend if I don’t plan on teaching pregnancy or prenatal yoga after? Absolutely.
Will I be insured to teach yoga to pregnant people after the course? Yes. Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be about to offer “prenatal yoga” or “pregnancy-friendly yoga” classes and be covered by insurance.
Do I need to be good at yoga to join? No. It isn’t necessary that you have pracised yog before. However, you do need to have a certain level of fitness to be able to practice the pregnancy classes during the course.
Why is some of the course in-person and some online? The structured setting and energetic experience of in-person training in a shared space helps you stay focused, accountable and fully engaged in the learning journey. It gives the opportunity for real-time feedback, and offers a deeply immersive learning environment that online formats can’t fully replicate. It also fosters strong connections with other students, creating a supportive community and enhancing your confidence through live practice teaching.
And the online section of the course gives you flexibility to complete some aspects of the course that are better done in your own time in your own pace, from the comfort of your own home. It respects that we all learn in different ways and at different speeds.
Do I need any yoga equipment? Mats and yoga props are available for use at Wellness Space studio free of charge, however it is always recommended to have your own yoga mat for hygiene and sanitary reasons.
